On July 18th 2023 a Cessna plane crashed into a residential area, into the Santa Fe home a residential area in New Mexico.

The local community was disturbed to some extent but not that much as there were no casualties or injuries.
The Aviation industry was in a deep sorrow after the death of such an experienced pilot and old interviews of randy Sherman were brought forward in which his statements were as follows: When you are out over the Pacific, and the sun is low in the sky, and you are cruising along at 2,500 feet, and the wind is in your face… Well, I mean, what’s better than that?
He always addressed flying as a very romantic thing. Aviation Industry responded with a Facebook post saying that: “Angel Flight West is honored to carry on Dr. Sherman’s legacy of aviation and health care, bridging the gap between home and health for the patients and families who need us”

On Tuesday, July 18th 2023, Randolf Sherman also known as Randy Sherman, took off as the pilot and the only person on board, On a Cessna twin-engine Aircraft from the Santa Fe Regional airport.
